Software Engineer - Graphics

We have an opening for a mid-level or senior-level software engineer with graphics programming experience. The successful candidate will be part of our Software Development Team and will assist in maintaining, enhancing, and creating new features for our graphical interface, working closely with our Water Resources Engineering Team.

 

Streamline Technologies, Inc. is a software development firm located in the Orlando area of Central Florida specializing in water resources engineering applications. Our philosophy and reputation are built on providing innovative software solutions such as the widely used hydrodynamic stormwater model, StormWise (formerly ICPR ®). Our applications center around a geospatial graphical interface that utilizes aerial imagery and terrain surfaces. The interface includes tools for creating, deleting, and editing graphical elements, flood animations, and graphical reporting queries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn the structure and operability of the existing codebase.
  • Develop and enhance existing software and create new features.
  • Resolve errors and bugs found in the code.
  • Update and maintain source code documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Water Resources Engineering team to identify new features and product enhancements.
  • Become a subject matter expert as well as a technical expert of DirectX and .NET framework.
  • Provide customer technical support on software-related issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong C# or C++ programming skills
  • Experience with 2D and 3D graphics (DirectX or OpenGL)
  • Experience with the .NET framework
  • Experience with computational geometry is a plus
  • Experience with mapping and cartography is a plus
  • Ability to conceive, design, develop, test, and optimize software components
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.  We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visa.
