Parallon HCA Healthcare - The Business Side of Healthcare

Parallon provides full-service revenue cycle management and, ultimately, total patient account resolution for HCA Healthcare. These services include scheduling, registration, insurance verification, hospital billing, revenue integrity, insurance collections, payment compliance, credentialing, health information management, customer service, payroll, physician and specialty services billing.

 

Manager in Training for  Front Office (Patient Access) area is a department of the hospital which directly interacts with patients when they first arrive. The department is very visible to the patients and their families. It functions as a central point of contact across the organization. Patient Access staff are responsible for receiving and greeting patients and visitors. They also answer inquiries and assist patients with completing registration documents as required by the facility. The training will focus on enhancing your management and technical skills so to ensure you are knowledgeable in all aspects in the business office functions. You will be responsible for reviewing key metrics to determine trends in operational performance and identify process improvement opportunities including up-front collections, reduction in insurance denial trends, and reduce percentage of error.

 

Manager in Training for Back Office supports activities to non-medical areas, including billing, financial counseling, payments and follow-up, collections, insurance verification, financial analysis, etc.  Training will focus on enhancing your technical skills in the areas of problem solving in billing, collections, appeals and payment resolution. Field training will ensure you are knowledgeable in all aspects in the business office functions by determining trends in operational performance, evaluating financial documents and identifying process improvement opportunities including up-front collections, reduction in insurance denial trends, and reduction of percentage of error. You will also complete training modules in various departments and display competency in specialized aspects of the position such as registration, compliance, billing and collections.

 

Manager in Training for Patient Experience training will focus on enhancing your management and technical skills while assisting with the enhancement of patient, client, customer and employee experiences. You will also be involved with providing customer service for revenue cycle questions, HR resources, workers compensation claims, etc. You may be involved with day to day operations of inbound calls from patients for scheduling, billing and other customer service related calls. You will also complete training modules in various departments and display competency in specialized aspects of the position such as registration, compliance, billing and collections.

 

Manager in Training for Payer Specialization training will focus on enhancing your management and technical skills supporting the overpayments, appeals, denials, under payments and AR escalation departments. Field training will ensure you are knowledgeable in all aspects in the business office functions. You will also complete training modules in various departments and display competency in specialized aspects of the position such as registration, compliance, billing and collections.

 

Qualifications: 

  • BS or BA degree required (or working towards the completion of a BA or BS). Accounting, Business, Finance, Public Health, Management or Healthcare Administration degrees are a plus
  • MBA degree helpful
  • Experience in healthcare, healthcare management or finance helpful
  • Occasional/ Intermittent Travel Required
