Philosophy, Religion, Science, Math and History Teachers

Frassati Catholic High Schools seeks a Philosophy, Religion, Science, Math and History teacher for 2024-2025 school year. 

  • Philosophy:Courses will include Human Person and may include Principles of Ethics and Bioethics.
  • Religion: Courses will include Logic and Rhetoric and may include Philosophy of the Human Person and Principles of Ethics.
  • Science: Courses will include Chemistry and Physics
  • Math: Courses will include Algebra I and Advanced Placement (AP) Statistics.
  • History: Courses will include Western Civilization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in content area taught
  • At least 2 years of classroom experience, preferred
  • 12 credit hours in education courses or a valid, appropriate state certificate
  • 12 credit hours in each additional content area taught or successful completion of appropriate state certification exam
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in the areas of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and Internet use for educational purposes and multimedia presentations

OR

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 2 years of classroom experience, preferred
  • 12 credit hours in education courses or a valid, appropriate state certificate
  • 24 credit hours in the primary content taught or at least one content area taught or successful
  • completion of appropriate state certification exam
  • 12 credit hours in each additional content area taught or either a valid, appropriate state certificate
  • or successful completion of appropriate state certification exam
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in the areas of word processing, spreadsheets, databases and Internet use for educational purposes and multimedia presentations

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate expertise in teaching methods and methodology
  • Demonstrate expertise in content area of teaching
  • Maintain student achievement records
  • Conduct parent conferences as scheduled and/or requested; maintain open communication with parents
  • Attend meetings as scheduled
  • Maintain classroom in such a way that is conducive to learning
  • Demonstrate care in lesson planning and execution
  • Represent the school in a positive way on and off the school campus
  • Knowledgeable and supportive in word and action of the school's mission, vision and educational philosophy
  • Implement mission of the school through life witness
  • Working knowledge of school policies as they are articulated in the school's Handbooks
