Quality Engineer - All Levels

Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our growing team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.

We are looking for a new team member to join us as a Quality Engineer to ensure our products meet internal and external compliance requirements. Successful candidates are eager to tackle large complex projects with interesting problems in a fast-paced team environment.   

A Quality Engineer at Janicki works within an engineering team to:  

  • Develop, promote, and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents, and reports.
  • Create advancements in current quality engineering practices.
  • Retrieve, review, and analyze Quality data including performing trend analysis and identifying quality improvement opportunities.
  • Work with process and program owners to prepare, analyze and improve quality metrics for management and program reviews.
  • Review documents, procedures, diagrams, and/or flow charts, to determine if they will perform and conform to contractual, AS9100, or QMS requirements.
  • Monitor the application of improvement initiatives, researching best practices to impact quality improvement initiatives and utilization standards.
  • Identify and recommend procedures and work with others to implement and streamline workflows.
  • Provide training to enable employees to meet consistent quality standards.
  • Participate in internal, regulatory and customer audits.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering or equivalent (or associate degree in these fields plus minimum 4 years industrial experience).
  • Manufacturing experience, including experience in composite fabrication with practical application of quality assurance a plus.
  • Commercial/military aerospace experience is preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated excellent communication skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills including QA applications, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Salary range for this role is between $68,000 and $145,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
