Position Summary: As a New Graduate RN, your knowledge will shine as you provide professional nursing care through Transition to Practice, clinical assessments, outcome identification, planning, and implementation, all while adhering to SRHS policies and procedures. Your dedication to safe, collaborative patient care will be at the heart of everything you do, working hand in hand with our healthcare team members.
Unit Description: Join us at 5 Main, a 36-bed stepdown intermediate care unit, where the magic happens. Specializing in vascular surgery, telemetry, and stroke care, we're part of the esteemed Cardiovascular Division at Spartanburg Medical Center (SMC). Here, you'll work alongside a dedicated team of RNs, PCAs (patient care associates), and UAs (unit ambassadors) who are passionate about making a difference.
What We Do: At 5 Main, we tackle a wide range of vascular surgeries, from aortic aneurysm repair to carotid endarterectomy, femoral bypass surgeries, and amputations. We take pride in being the secondary stroke unit at SMC, and all our nurses are NIHSS certified, a certification we'll help you obtain during orientation. Our monitored beds provide a dynamic learning environment to enhance your skills and broaden your patient care expertise. Every day, you'll care for diverse patients, making a positive impact on their healthcare journey with Spartanburg Medical Center.
