Overview

As a Customized Employment Specialist in Southern California, you will bring equity to the employment process for people with disabilities. Your influence throughout the community will help create opportunities for businesses and individuals to succeed. You will go home at night knowing that you have made the world better.

 

Starting Rate: $29/Hour

Responsibilities

How you make a difference

As a Customized Employment Specialist, you are the ultimate connector. You work through the discovery process to better understand ideal conditions that will set your job seeker up for success and capitalize on their talents. You develop customized job search strategies with detailed timelines and create buy-in and confidence with your job seeker to move through the process methodically. You are excited when the offer comes and support them throughout the onboarding process to ensure their success.

 

Simultaneously, you seek out opportunities in the community to bring people together and build mutually beneficial relationships. Your curiosity and strong business acumen put small business leaders at ease as you inquire to understand better their business needs and the challenges they face, generating opportunities for your job seekers.

 

You are a community advocate for the program, our services, and growing our reach to as many people as possible. You dream big and see a world where everyone sees the abilities of your job seekers.

Qualifications

What you bring with you

  • Your life experience will ensure your success; a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of 3-5 years in project management, career coaching is a bonus
  • Reliable transportation with insurance and vehicle registration and the ability to travel in Southern California
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Applications
