Job Overview:
The Regional Asset Protection Director (RAPD) is responsible for administering the asset protection and safety programs for retail stores, with a focus on implementing, communicating and controlling the company’s activities that have the objective of protecting the company’s assets. This includes driving operational efficiencies, ensuring accurate inventory, driving a shrink culture, reducing loss and maintaining safety standards to ensure a Friendly, Easy and Accurate customer experience. This individual works collaboratively with their Regional Vice President and Human Resources Director partners to guide and coach operational efficiencies and improve overall inventory accuracy and company profits within their assigned region.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Manage the development, implementation and maintenance of the Asset Protection program pertaining to shrink awareness, operational controls, physical security, merchandise security, external theft, internal theft and safety in assigned areas.
• Drive operational efficiency and accuracy by managing exception reports of receiving, pack-away and inventory adjustment standards to drive profits and inventory accuracy through direct influence and partnership of the District Team Leaders and Store Teams
• Responsible to ethically conduct internal and external investigations of theft and fraud, bringing resolution to include partnering with law enforcement in prosecutions
• Responsible for all shortage control, data integrity and loss training and awareness
• Manage the entire physical inventory prep and execution process and reconciliation, while conducting root cause analysis, establishing loss reduction strategies and conducting high shrink investigations based on inventory results
• Manage the High Shrink Store and District Team Leader Focus Store programs to drive shrink awareness and improve loss results through shrink intensive touchpoints, store visits and loss reduction strategic partnership with field leaders and store team leaders
• Maintain and validate OSHA, personal and occupational safety related standards
• Drive shrink/loss awareness among field management and store teams through shrink mitigation coaching and training to improve profits, data integrity, operational controls, shrink awareness and physical security protocols.
• Responsible for all Next Gen. New Store/Remodel and Relo. merchandise security and physical security protocols to include CCTV and alarm design and install management
• SME for Critical Incident management, to mitigate risk, personal impact, brand damage and business continuity in the event of a human caused or natural disaster
• Establish and maintain contact with law enforcement, fraud and ORC agencies within assigned region by attending meetings and calls to benchmark latest trends


Skills Required:
• Excellent communication, verbal and written, skills are required.
• Proficient knowledge of exception-based reporting programs; case management systems; Microsoft Office
• Superior customer service skills
• Ability to manage workloads with competing priorities and complete objectives with little or no supervision.
• Demonstrated comfort working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment,
• Possess excellent organizational, communication and analytical skills.


Qualifications:
• 10 years of multi store retail Asset Protection management experience is required.
• College degree or commensurate experience required.
• Wicklander/Zulawski certification is required.
• Ability to perform weekly travel (4 days per week) in an assigned area.
