Associate Controls Engineer

Engineers at Bridgestone have a passion for innovation that drives our company forward. Our Controls Engineer position gives you the opportunity to join the world's largest tire and rubber company at the forefront of innovation and mobility while receiving training from an industry leader in automation and robotics. Bridgestone’s Controls Engineers start their time with us by attending the Rockwell Automation Institute for a 6-month program, receiving technical and professional training focused on automation and controls. The training program provides a blend of classroom learning, lab work, field assignments, projects, and professional development. 

After completion of the Rockwell EIT program, you would be placed at our manufacturing facility in Aiken, SC to continue your learning and development. As a teammate, you will gain hands-on experience working on meaningful projects, networking with engineers across the organization, learning what it is like to be an engineer at Bridgestone, and making a lasting impact while developing lifelong skills and competencies to your future career.

The Controls Engineering position researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. This teammate would apply practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. This position must be able to work independently with general supervision and may influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Robotics and Automation Engineering
  • Experience with CAD applications
  • Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing setting
  • 3.0 GPA
  • Availability for June 2024 program start
