Fine Arts/Music/PE Teacher
Description Primary Purpose:
Service campus with enrichment opportunities for Fine Arts and Physical Education through multiple mediums and enrichment opportunities. Assist children in the development of rhythmic, stability, loco-motor, and manipulative skills that ultimately influence the children’s overall success. Work closely with campus administration, carefully select performances that are age appropriate and meet appropriate community standards. Support early childhood programs by ensuring high levels of learning for every student by collaborating with colleagues to design learning activities and experiences to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university;
Valid Texas teaching certificate, with required endorsements for subjects/level assigned,
including ESL certificate; Special Education Certificate preferred, Bilingual preferred
Special Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of rules and regulations for public school early childhood programs
Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines and TEKS for K
Knowledge of ELPS
Knowledge of ELL practices
Application of IEP
Experience: Completed student teaching or at least one year of approved internship
