Coordinator of Pedagogy Resources

The Coordinator of Pedagogy Resources develops, delivers, and coordinates a wide range of services and resources for pedagogical support and faculty development. Receives direct supervision from the Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning and is expected to work independently to complete tasks.

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop and deliver faculty development resources for Parker University faculty.

Provide on-demand and live faculty training on various resources and tools related to pedagogy and higher education trends.

Create marketing and advertising plans and materials to promote the Center for Teaching and Learning’s initiatives.

Identify and facilitate individual and group training in online, on-ground, and hybrid environments.

Collaborate with other faculty development providers across campus.

Maintain records for faculty development.

Other duties as assigned.

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

EDUCATION/EXPERTISE: 

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in higher education leadership, educational research, or related field preferred. Alternative degrees and work experience may be considered. 

Two years of related experience required; preferred 1 or more years of experience in faculty development or educational technology.

Experience working with diverse student populations. Experience in health sciences preferred.

Proficient in managing and using technology to provide development, computerized instruction, maintaining records, and producing reports.

Previous teaching or training experience is also preferred.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

JOB REQUIREMENT/SKILL/ETC.: 

Manage multiple simultaneous projects

Create and implement long-term plans to achieve results.

Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships across diverse personalities and departments. Ability to work with others to accomplish goals through collaboration and coordination. 

Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with students, faculty, and administration.

High-level organizational and planning skills are required to accomplish departmental initiatives.

Ability to work with subject matter experts to identify what students need to learn

Ability to structure content and activities for student learning

Ability to adapt instructional materials created for one format to another format (notably for electronic learning formats)

Ability to perform assigned duties with time pressures and frequent interruptions

 

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Visual acuity to use a keyboard and view a computer terminal.  Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp.

May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand and walk.

Ability to occasionally lift, carry and/or move light to medium weight up to twelve (12) pounds and/or exert up to twelve (12) pounds of force.
