Upper Elementary Lead Teacher
Role Description
RELOCATION BONUS ADVANCE AVAILABLE FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE:
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Upper Elementary (Ages 9-12) Lead Teacher at Hermosa Montessori School in Tucson, AZ. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans, fostering a supportive learning environment, and providing guidance to students in the Upper Elementary program. They will work collaboratively with the school's faculty and staff (including our Exceptional Student Services Program) to deliver a comprehensive Montessori education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Montessori certification for the 9-12 age group (not required but a plus+)
- Experience teaching in a 9-12 age Montessori environment (not required but a plus+)
- Knowledge of Montessori philosophy and methodology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans
- Passion for supporting students' holistic development
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
Company Description
Hermosa Montessori School is a PreK - 8th grade, public charter school based out of Tucson, Arizona, United States. The school was founded in 1979 and is located on a stunning 16-acre property surrounded by mountains, river washes, towering Saguaro cactuses, and unique Sonoran desert wildlife. All of the walls in each building contain large windows, providing students and staff with a beautiful environment in which to learn and grow.
