CFS QMHP Crisis Interventionist

MST Crisis Interventionist

Multisystemic Therapy is an evidence-based therapeutic model designed to provide community-based treatment for the families of youth who are involved, or at risk of being placed outside of the home. The MST Crisis Interventionist focuses on treating the youth within their natural ecology by addressing the multisystemic factors that impact their behaviors within their family, peer group, school setting, and community. As an MST Crisis Interventionist, you will engage with youth and their primary caregiver and other key participants across the systems in developing and implementing interventions to improve school attendance and performance, decrease substance use, increase prosocial connections, and improve family functioning. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in ONE of the following: Applied Behavior Analysis - Child Development – Counseling - Early Childhood Education - Early Childhood Intervention - Education Psychology – Gerontology - Human Growth and Development – Medicine – Nursing - Physician Assistant – Psychology - Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation & Rehab Studies - Social Work – Sociology - or Special Education.  Prefer experience in direct use of pragmatic (i.e., structural, strategic and functional) family therapies; couples therapy using behaviorally based approaches; behavioral therapy targeting school behavior and academic performance; implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth’s natural ecology that affect or influence the behavior of the youth (i.e., family, peer, school, and neighborhood); collaboration and partnership with community agencies; and/or previous work providing in-home or community-based therapy services.  Spanish-speaking a plus.  Qualified Mental Health Professional certification earned on the job.

Carry and lifting requirements 15-25 pounds.
