Student Nutrition Field Supervisor

Mansfield ISD Student Nutrition Field Supervisor

Primary Purpose:

  • Overseeing the daily operation of ten to twelve cafeterias

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • Associate Degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality Management, Nutrition or related field, preferred
  • Knowledge of quantity food production methods, procedures, and personnel management techniques
  • Knowledge of HACCP

Experience:

  • One year of Food Service/Restaurant experience, required
  • Three years Child Nutrition management experience, preferred
  • Multi-site management experience, preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Monitor and visit school sites to ensure federal and state compliance with the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs.
  • Accurately evaluate and effectively communicate possible solutions regarding operational concerns including, but not limited to, kitchen workflow, food quality, unit staffing, financial reports, point of sales, maintenance issues and technology issues.
  • Maintain labor, food cost, and budget adherence of assigned schools.
  • Provide onsite training and coaching of employees.
  • Maintain accurate reports of daily and monthly financial, production, and activity records.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsible for directly and indirectly overseeing kitchen staff at ten or more campuses.
