Community Support Specialist - Meridian, MS

Position Overview

  • Caseloads will be 4-6 cases per week, averaging 12-20 total hours of face to face contact for the staff per week based on the families’ needs.

Increase collaboration with families and professionals

Participate in collaboration with the therapist and case manager to identify treatment goals for each youth and family

Provide supportive services to families to promote success with families by providing safe environments for their children, while also providing for heir basic needs and overall welfare

Works with families in their homes and communities, linking them with resources and partnering alongside them to teach basic skills needed to care for their child based on their age and needs

Support for the child and his/her family          

Additional Information

 

Schedule is flexible and non-traditional; based around the availability of youth and families served.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, a personal vehicle to use for work purposes and auto insurance.

Community Based staff will be reimbursed for applicable mileage

 

Salary 

$46000 - $53000 / year based on education and clinical license

Requirements

 

Bachelor's degree in a social services field (required)

Must have or be eligible for MS DMH Community Support Specialist Certification (required)
At least six months experience working with at-risk youth, adults or families (strongly preferred)
