Salary Grade: Educational Grade 04/ EG-04

Position Summary: Lead Instructional Mentors supervise and develop Instructional Mentors and provide instructional mentoring support to novice teachers in high need schools across the district. In addition to 1:1 mentoring, Instructional Mentors provide equity centered professional learning opportunities to teachers in areas such as class culture and climate, implementing the Tulsa Way for Teaching and Learning, including high-leverage instructional strategies, classroom management, analysis of student work, differentiated instruction, and supportive instruction for English learners and students with special needs. As a Lead Instructional Mentor, individuals will influence, coach, motivate, and develop groups of Instructional Mentors and novice teachers to reach ambitious goals with students.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Master’s degree preferred
Experience:
• Four (4) years teaching experience preferred
• Two (2) years recent classroom teaching experience preferred
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.;
• Proven track record of raising student achievement
• Current Oklahoma teaching certificate required
• Oklahoma administrative certificate preferred
• Prefer experience as an Instructional Coach or Mentor
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
