Job Summary

 

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Visit Programs, the Admissions Visit Programs Specialist will assist with the daily coordination of admissions on-campus and off-campus events. This position will also assist with the preparation for daily campus visits and the supervision of the Southern Ambassador tour guides. The Specialist consistently exhibits service, collaboration, and excellence as championed by the Division of Enrollment, Marketing and Student Success.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Assist with on- and off- campus event coordination and preparation including, but not limited to: booking event space, securing catering and other logistical needs, set-up, day-of implementation, contract completion, and invoice and payment processing

• Assist with coordination and oversight of the Southern Ambassador tour guides

• Maintain inventory spreadsheets for all event equipment, which includes student giveaways, uniforms, and other items

• Maintain the internal Admissions Events Calendar

• Coordinate daily information session and tour scheduling within Slate CRM and staffing through scheduling software

• Present daily information sessions and give campus tours to visitors as needed, providing information about Georgia Southern to prospective students and families

• Serve as time approver for all student employees, including Southern Ambassador tour guides

 

Required Qualifications

 

Educational Requirements

 

• Bachelor's Degree or one (1) year of related job experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

Preferred Educational Qualifications

 

• Master's Degree in higher education or a related field

 

Preferred Experience

 

• Experience with Sling scheduling software Experience with Slate CRM

• Previous experience in undergraduate admissions

• Previous event planning experience

 

Proposed Salary

 

$41,000 - $43,000

 

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
