Wholeness Coordinator
Position Summary
Provide support services to students experiencing mental health challenges. Services may involve crisis intervention, acting as liaison between clients, families, and community agencies, providing school-based prevention and intervention services, and providing referrals for students and families to appropriate community level resources. The Wholeness Coordinator will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team within a Multi-tiered System of Support (MTSS) and work collaboratively with other community and state agencies.
Essential Functions:
- Screening, assessing, treatment planning, and implementing direct services for students;
- Accurately and appropriately use MTSS and clinical assessment procedures for determining and structuring individual, group, and family counseling services;
- Crisis assessments and follow-up services: referrals, brief family therapy, case management, and formulation of reintegration plans to return to school milieu post crisis;
- Paperwork: charting within an EHR system and maintaining accurate records;
- Implement developmentally appropriate and prevention-oriented group activities to meet student needs and school goals;
- Actively participate in the evaluation of direct services and system-wide fidelity and efficacy;
- Submit reports and other required paperwork in a timely manner;
- Participate in staff development, training, and clinical supervision as needed.
- Attend meetings and trainings as required.

Knowledge of:
- Multi-tiered System of Support framework
- Evidence-based Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculums
- Restorative practices
- Evidence-based student screening tools
- HIPPA, FERPA and ethical guidelines surrounding client care and documentation
- Individual, group, and family therapeutic modalities
- Treatment planning core features
- Medicaid billing and EHR processes
- Data collection processes
Skill to:
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing form with staff parents, district personnel and outside agency partners to ensure the coordination of services and programs to students and families.
- Facilitate meetings with staff, students and families
- Conduct training sessions and provide professional development to staff and district personnel.
- Collaboratively work with community and state agencies and resources.
Ability to:
- Maintain confidentiality
- Work as a multidisciplinary education support team but also independently as appropriate
- Work with a diverse population of various socioeconomic and multicultural backgrounds.
- Evaluate data points and formulate data decision rules to guide MTSS practices
- Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of MTSS goals
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Required Certifications and Licenses:
Must be designated as a State of Nevada qualified mental health professional (QMHP) or (QMHA); master’s degree with State of Nevada Licensure as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW); marriage & family therapist (MFT); or licensed clinical professional counselor (LPC) preferred. Prior experience in crisis intervention, therapeutic treatment of psychiatric patients, and supervision preferred.
Experience and Training:
Have previously demonstrated at least three (3) years in the field of mental health, social work or related field either as a licensed professional or working under the supervision of a licensed professional. Bi-lingual preferred (English and Spanish). Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
