Position Summary: 

To provide academic support and services, cultural enrichments,
scholarship opportunities, and engagement in tribal events. Academic resource advisors support
family engagement and act as a cultural bridge bringing tribal culture to life in the educational
process. They provide information on Native experience and perspective for both students and
staff to ensure that all students have the opportunity to learn and grow in their education. They
oversee the academic, culture, and resource needs of Native American students necessary to
attain academic achievement.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in education, social work, counseling, community-based or tribal
programs, or related field

Experience:
• Experience working with tribes or Native American culture and community

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.:
• Possess or ability to obtain and maintain an Oklahoma State Teacher Certification
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
