Nurse Practitioner

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner with a passion for medicine. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 9am-6pm with a paid lunch, out of our Houston, TX office.

Position Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for maintaining standardized patient care. They play a crucial role in collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts complex, standardized patient care procedures which require experience and specialized training which would otherwise be performed by a physician but which do not constitute the practice of medicine.
  • Assesses patient’s medical complaints and provides appropriate treatment.
  • Utilizes advanced assessment skills to anticipate complex patient problems and communicates information to the supervising or attending physician.
  • Assists in obtaining patient histories.
  • Conducts examinations both in-person and via telemedicine.
  • Orders and interprets appropriate laboratory tests.
  • Monitors the treatment program of the patient
  • Assists physicians in making therapeutic decisions.
  • Enters chart documentation for review and countersignature by the physician
  • Responds to emergency situations.
  • Maintain highly accurate chart documentation
  • Responsible for patient callbacks to ensure well-being and continued care
  • Occasional phone calls after standard working hours are required
  • Occasional weekend meetings are required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Texas License as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
  • Currently in good standing with your professional board is required.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner certification issued by the National Commission of Certification of Nurse Practitioner is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or specialty required by the department is required.
  • Proficient in using medical and surgical instruments and equipment required
  • One year experience in either Orthopedics or Pain Management is required
  • One year experience with Emergency Room Systems is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred
  • Must be able to travel is preferred

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $110,000 to $150,000 annually depending on skills and experience.
