Job Summary

The Alumni Relations Coordinator's primary focus is to work with students, alumni, campus partners, and Alumni Association colleagues to promote student philanthropy and engagement. Build and maintain strong relationships with Alumni Relations colleagues, as well as campus departments to ensure the growth of the student engagement program and the advancement of the Student Alumni Association within the campus Community. Work with Advancement team to foster a healthy fundraising pipeline from student admission, to alumni engagement through annual campaign to major gifts. Perform administrative functions in support of overall alumni program management and a broad range of activities for Georgia Southern University alumni. Provide support in the planning and implementation of a variety of University, alumni, and community events to create an environment of engagement, inspiring alumni to remain or become involved in the life of the University. Assist in attracting alumni and friends to become or remain involved in University life.

Responsibilities

• Help coordinate and organize events and programs to recruit students to join the Student Alumni Association
• Manage day-to-day operations and logistical support for special events pertaining to student programming and communications within the Alumni Relations Department
• Support and participate in Alumni Association events, including Homecoming, Alumni Awards, 40 under 40, Tailgates, and others as needed
• Organize, execute and manage timelines for student alumni events
• Collaborate with various student organizations and campus resource centers to cultivate alumni engagement on campus
• Organize and supervise alumni and student volunteer activities

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

• Three (3) or more years of experience

Preferred Experience

• Background working with students; Student Affairs, Higher Education, Academic Affairs, or Enrollment Management

Proposed Salary

$46,513 - $52,000

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
