SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing staff piano accompaniment for all vocal performing groups/classes, small or large ensembles and soloists at the assigned school site. Accompany all daily class rehearsals, concerts, musical, state events and choral activities.

JOB TASKS:

1. Provide piano accompaniment for vocal performing groups/classes, small or large ensembles and soloists at the assigned school site. 

2. Support the Teacher or Director by promoting and supporting the expectations and vision of the music program. 

3. Tutor or provide instructional assistance to individuals or student groups needing extra help in learning music concepts. 

4. Organize, file, catalogue and maintain music scores and materials. 

5. Assist and team with student accompanists as needed. 

6. Supervise the tuning and care of the pianos in the assigned school’s music department. 

7. Attend work and arrive in a timely manner. 

8. Attend appropriate in services, building meetings, training, parent conferences and/or school functions. 

9. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent 
• One year of related experience 
• Piano performance experience and extensive piano proficiency in technical skills 
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
