Apply today and join our team. The North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board’s Agriculture and Enforcement Division has an opening for a Staff Services Manager I (Specialist). The position will be located in Santa Rosa (Sonoma County) at 5550 Skylane Blvd., Suite A, Santa Rosa, in the Airport Business Park next to the Sonoma County Airport, the Sonoma Marin Area Rapit Transit (SMART) Train and other public transportation.
Duties:
The Staff Services Manager I (Specialist) will fill a leadership role within the Agriculture and Enforcement Division with primary roles of implementing the Water Boards’ Cannabis Cultivation Policy and enforcing the Water Code on illegal cannabis cultivation sites to minimize pollution, nuisance, and impacts to water quality. The duties of this position include acting as a primary point of contact for the public with the North Coast Water Boards’ Cannabis Program; acting as a lead coordinator of other Cannabis Program staff to ensure compliance; collaborating with other staff and other agencies, including law enforcement; developing and implementing strategies, priorities, procedures, templates, guidance and trainings to support enforcement; reviewing technical reports for adequacy to comply with laws, regulations, and enforceable requirements; leading and coordinating enforcement cases; leading and overseeing data tracking, analysis, and reporting; and providing testimony at Board meetings, hearings and court proceedings.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
