Licensed Vocational Nurse II
General Description
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, is responsible for performing moderately complex medical aid work. Assists nurses in obtaining report and records from Medical Records. Performs nursing functions as appropriate. Assists Medical Staff in performing procedures. Performs related work as assigned and trained.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in health care work. Graduated from a standard senior high school or equivalent is generally preferred. (GED) Experience and education may be substituted for one another. Attended and completed Medical Assistant Tech School and met all required hours of on the job training. Must present valid Medical Technician Exam Certification and Licensure. Valid Texas LVN License. Drivers license required, with a good driving record.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- In the course of being employed, understands and implements trauma informed care practices.
- Knowledge of the perinciples and practices of patient care. Skilled in the use of various equipment used in our Health Care setting.
- Ability to plan, evaluate and provide patient care.
