Job Description for:

Pianist

In order to assist the Music Director in achieving the main goal of the music program at Timberlake Christian Church, which is to enhance the spiritual experiences of the congregation, as well as the volunteers who participate, the Pianist is expected to do the following:

1.        He/She shall prepare the piano music for the traditional 11:00 service each Sunday as directed. 

2.        He/She shall provide the piano music for special services including Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and extra services on Easter Sunday, Christmas Eve, etc.

3.        He/She shall play the accompaniment for the Chancel Choir under the supervision and coordination of the Music Director.  This requires attendance at rehearsals each week at a time set by the Music Director.  Currently rehearsals are each week on Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.

5.        He/She shall rehearse with soloists, duets, trios, or other special providers of music at other various times.

6.        The Pianist at his/her own discretion, may prepare and provide music for other services/functions, i.e., funerals, weddings, meetings, special programs, etc.

9.        Concerns regarding the Pianist duties shall be directed to the Music Director and/or Senior Minister and/or the Personnel Committee.
