Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
Description
The Advanced Manfacturing Engineer role will work in the advanced manufacturing engineering (AME) department playing a key role in supporting assembly and scroll machining projects and processes in order to achieve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost objectives. Based out of Sidney OH, this role is an integral part in the design, development, integration, and continuous improvement of quality systems and processes. This position will collaborate with employees at all levels across multiples sites of the organization and serve as a Quality Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME). The engineer will be a key point of contact with providing both programming and technical support for a wide variety of gauging systems including Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM's) and other high-precision, high-accuracy gauging systems. The engineer will research and supervise manufacturing industry trends and deploy relevant technology in our global HVACR Technologies plants.
As an Advanced Manfacturing Engineer You Will:
Coordinate and lead quality systems related projects and participate in multi-functional teams to craft, procure and qualify equipment and processes while maintaining project schedules and budget
Perform quality systems installations, qualifications, capability studies, and gage R&R's for assembly and machining processes.
Perform part inspection system programming applying both manual programming methods as well as applying 3D CAD models to generate programs in the simulated virtual environment.
Lead and participate in the identification, design, development and implementation of new gauging methodologies and processes with a focus on improved accuracy, reliability, and reduced cost
Provide training to other technical personnel of inspection systems and provide technical support in resolving issues that affect production.
Self-initiate corrective actions for quality concerns based on effective problem-solving skills and develop temporary and permanent solutions to manufacturing issues
Align with all required safety and regulatory requirements
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
Degree in Engineering Field (preferably Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Industrial Engineering) or (5+) years of relevant manufacturing work experience in lieu of degree.
2 (2+) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Co-op experience may be considered.
Ability to simultaneously drive/implement multiple quality systems projects (up to 25% travel)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proven ability to apply creative thinking to address sophisticated problems.
Must be able to interpret technical drawings
Experience making data-driven decisions
Shown digital literacy including MS Words, Excel, PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse work groups to facilitate knowledge sharing.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Collaboration skills to integer along with multiple levels of the organization
Proven understanding of Lean Manufacturing and its methodologies
Understanding of machining and assembly processes
Experience in PC-DMIS/MODUS CMM programming
Use of 2D/3D CAD programs (AutoCAD, NX, or equivalent)
Experience integrating quality system in automated closed feedback loop systems
Experience in database analytics reporting tools
Understanding of GD&T principles
Theoretical and practical understanding of process control
Seven (7+) years' experience in manufacturing environment
Flexible Work Schedule - Hybrid Work Option and Core Hours
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm.
