DevOps Engineer
Xpodigital (www.xpodigital.com) is a rapidly growing full-service convention internet and digital signage company looking for a standout JR. DevOps Engineer AND OR DevOps Engineer in the BALTIMORE, MD area with a Bachelor’s in a STEM Discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering Mathematics).

This Position may be filled by a JR. DevOps Engineer OR A DevOps Engineer level based on the qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications:
- Graduation/ Post-Graduation in computer science or a related field.
- An understanding of cloud-based infrastructure and services, such as AWS
- Git or another version control system experience.
- Knowledge of scripting languages, including Python and Bash.
- Understanding of software development processes and tools, such as continuous integration and delivery.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Java Enterprise Edition
- Experience with SQL databases
- Experience with AWS cloud
- Experience with LXD/LXC
- Experience with GIT
Here are a few activities you can expect to work on once you’ve gained competency in Xpodigital’s suite of products and technology:
- Maintain, monitor and manage code deployments for cloud resources as well as on-prem caching servers and Xpodigital players.
- Provide support for technicians and Systems Engineers
- Provide feedback about system improvements and system issues to Dev
- Participate in ongoing architectural/product planning discussions at Calvert Labs in Baltimore, providing insight into deployment/maintenance implications of product design changes
- Encourage growth in coworkers
- Create and maintain documentation for Support staff
- Evaluate questions and provide information to Sales / Graphics / Clients / etc
- Familiarity with source code and git repository to aid development team
- Assist and/or perform security audits and assess vulnerabilities
