Shift Leader

At Chick-fil-A, Shift Leaders are responsible for assisting the management team in all aspects of shift management and ensuring that each restaurant guest has an outstanding experience. Shift Leaders are responsible for supervising assigned stations for an entire shift and will be assigned to open or close the restaurant; following established opening and closing procedures. Our goal is to build up each and every Shift Leader and help them gain experience as a future leader. Shift Leaders focus greatly on developing themselves professionally as well as personally, increasing business acumen, and developing the team around them. This position is for either a Front of House OR Back of House Shift Leader.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure all food safety requirements are being met per Chick-fil-A standard, in alignment with Health Department standards.
• Ensures that Team Members follow recipes and read tickets to accurately prepare all orders.
• Ensures that Team Members are extremely accurate with weights and measurements for all recipe items.
• Ensures that Team Members work at a pace to maintain restaurant's established speed of service guidelines.
• Ensures that workstations are clean at all times.
• Ensures that cashiers follow cash handling procedures at all times.
• Executes proper security and cash handling and control procedures and holds cashiers accountable to adhering to policies and procedures.
• Ensures that Team Members monitor dining room, restroom, parking lot and overall facility cleanliness.
• Perform any of the tasks above as needed throughout shift.
• Addresses guest issues that may arise; consults with management regarding complex issues.
• Maintains a positive working relationship and treats all employees with respect while providing them with direction and feedback.
• Communicates employee performance and policy/procedure violations to management for appropriate handling.
• Maintains a positive and prosperous restaurant culture.
• Strictly adheres to all Company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Previous customer service experience preferred

Previous leadership experience an asset

Hard-working / High level of grit

Team-oriented

Friendly

Honest / High integrity

Great customer skills

ServSafe Certification and/or Chicago certification equivalent preferred

Must be able to stand/walk for entirety of shift

Must be able to lift 30+ lbs

Must be able to open and/or close the restaurant (Open=6:00 AM; Close =11:00 PM)

Must be available to work Saturdays
