Job Summary 

The Aqua-Tots Water Safety Instructor (AT-WSI) position consists of teaching our Learn to Swim program to individuals of all ages and skill levels. Your primary objective will be to ensure safety within the pool environment and teaching students to be safe and confident swimmers for life. 

Responsibility and Duties

• Uphold our Aqua-Tots Swim Schools Core Values
• Teach in accordance with the Aqua-Tots curriculum
• Build relationships with the families
• Be knowledgeable and respond to parent questions regarding progression and our curriculum
• Check pool chemicals and maintain the chemical log
• Water-watching 
• Maintain the organization of the pool area
• Assist in the cleaning of the pool environment (windows, showers, deck, etc.)
• Fill out the Aqua-Cards after every shift
• Understand and uphold the Aqua-Tots minor in-water incident procedures
• Report any aquatic customer concerns to the General Manager
• Attend staff meetings, in-service trainings and help maintain the facility 

AT-WSI Position Certification Requirements 

• Aqua-Tots Water Safety Instructor Certification
• CPR and First Aid Certifications a plus 
• Capable of swimming

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children (coaching, camp counselor, teacher, etc.), front desk, sales 
• Previous experience with lifeguarding, competitive swim, instructing, or aquatics
