
Business Developer
We are currently seeking an entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, outgoing and results orientated Business Developer to join our Fire Protection team. The role will be based at our office in Wilmington, Delaware.
The candidate will be responsible to promote our line of passive fire protection materials in North America and develop a market for our innovative firestopping materials and products in the US and Canada.
The ideal candidate has an educational background in business and/or engineering with an entrepreneurial spirit and great work ethic.
A full-time commitment is required.

Work requires overnight travel to visit customers in the US and Canada, and may require occasional travel to corporate headquarters in the United Kingdom.
Responsibilities:
- Searching for new clients who might benefit from our products and maximizing customer potential.
- Identifying new applications for our product portfolio through customer contacts.
- Product ideation.
- Delivering technical presentations and demonstrating how the products meet their client’s needs.
- Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
- Meeting regular sales targets.
- Developing and growing long-term relationships with customers.
- Managing and interpreting customer requirements – speaking with customers to understand, anticipate and meet their needs.
- Travelling to visit potential and existing customers.
Job Requirements
- Entrepreneurial spirit and great work ethic.
- Telemarketing or other cold customer outreach experience is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in business, sales and/or engineering is an asset.
- Additional foreign language is meriting.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Pro-active and solution orientated with the ability to cope in difficult/demanding situations.
- Technically and commercially aware.
- Strong interpersonal skills capable of influencing clients.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to understand detailed information.
- US driver's license with the flexibility and willingness to travel when required.
