Assistant Superintendent

Job Description:

This is an entry level position into the Superintendent career path. This employee must have prior experience working in the construction industry but at a minimum should possess the educational background AND/OR job experience to support their role in this position.

Job Duties to name a few:

• Develop a list of necessary equipment and all miscellaneous supplies required for layout and obtain through 
the Superintendent. 
• Verify equipment inventory and check for proper adjustment 
• Update Field Engineer's drawings and specifications. 
• Locate Owner's reference monument and verify they are correct, notify superintendent if there is a 
discrepancy. 
• Plan (and draw onto site plan) contractor's monument grid. 
• Review with the Superintendent the following: 
• Locate all utilities and update the as built plans. 
• Obtain Superintendent's approval on limits of mass excavation, slopes, etc., prior to any layout. 
• Obtain Superintendent's approval and enter into field book (or other log) a workable log for keeping up with piling or pier lengths as applies to subcontracts
