
Warehouse Technician for IT Hardware (Owings Mills, MD)
Position Overview: The Warehouse Technician for IT Hardware is responsible for managing the receiving, storing, and distribution of IT hardware and related equipment. This role involves handling inventory, ensuring quality control, and preparing equipment for deployment. The technician will work closely with the Warehouse Manager, and other departments to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management and Reporting:
- Receive and log incoming shipments of IT hardware, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse to optimize space and accessibility.
- Maintain detailed records of inventory movements, including receipts, shipments, and returns.

Hardware Handling and Quality Control:
- Safely handle, store, and transport IT hardware, including servers, desktops, laptops, networking devices, and peripherals.
- Conduct inspections and testing to ensure all equipment is in proper working condition.

Order Fulfillment:
- Pick, pack, and ship IT equipment for internal or external use.
- Prepare hardware kits for deployment based on IT specifications or end-user requirements.

Collaboration and Communication
- Assist in planning and executing hardware refresh cycles.
- Provide feedback on inventory and workflow processes to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associates, or Bachelor's in a relevant field is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in warehouse operations or IT hardware handling.

Skills:
- Familiarity with IT hardware components, including computers, servers, and networking devices.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and basic office applications (e.g., Excel).
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.) safely.

Certifications (Preferred):
- Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
