QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Three (3) years of experience in a modern and relevant discipline. Subjects may include art, music,
physical education, etc.
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Preferred:
College coursework and/or teacher certification in any discipline.
Experience teaching in the above discipline.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The position will report to the Manager of Continuing Education for job responsibilities and other College related
activities as outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual. Essential duties include but are not limited to the
following:
Foster an environment that is student-focused and committed to excellence.
Interact effectively with a diverse student population;
Foster an engaging, supportive, and challenging learning environment in classrooms, laboratories,
shops, and co-curricular programs;
Provide regular and appropriate feedback to students enrolled in assigned course sections to help them
gauge their understanding and acquisition of course content;
Maintain appropriate order and control of instructional settings to ensure a productive and engaging
learning environment;
Maintain accurate attendance records of students enrolled in assigned courses;
For assigned academic units and/or educational programs, participate with colleagues and
administrators in identifying expected learning outcomes and assessing the extent to which students
achieve those outcomes;
In collaboration with instructors assigned to the same academic unit, exercise responsibility for the
content, quality, and effectiveness of the assigned curriculum; and
As an individual and a College employee, participate in the promotion, development, and continuous
improvement of the College’s academic and administrative policies, procedures, programs, and
services.
CONTRACT & SALARY:
$17.00 per hour. Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States must be verified for the successful
candidate.
