Hartman Engineering is seeking to fill a full-time Controller role in Visalia, CA. This role will be part of the finance team and report directly to the CFO. An ideal applicant will successfully manage all aspects of our multi-company bookkeeping needs, spanning engineering, construction and restaurant operations. 

Job Duties

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage financial records using QuickBooks online
• Prepare and process invoices, payments and payroll
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger
• Prepare and analyze financial reports
• Conduct bank reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards

Job Requirements

Experience:

• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online
• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles
• Strong knowledge of account reconciliation, general ledger accounting and bank reconciliation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word

General:

• Must pass a background check and drug test screening
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid driver’s license by time of appointment

Starting pay range: $26-$43/hour
