Civil Engineer - Spring 2025 - Fall 2025 Graduate

Donald Bohning is expanding our municipal and private development team and we are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our growing Cleveland, Ohio office. This individual will assist with ongoing field and engineering design efforts related to both municipal engineering and commercial/industrial development. 

The prospective candidate has the unique opportunity to be part of the engineering team that focuses on multi-difference facets of Civil Engineering while being hands on to all of those portions of the project. The successful candidate will work on a project team and have a unique opportunity to be part of the design, develop and construct a variety of projects from conception through completion. 

The successful candidate will report directly to the Manager of Civil Engineering and will work closely with the project team, engineers, surveyors, and other engineering staff to ensure client’s needs and expectations are exceeded and met with timely project deliverables. 

The main responsibilities include project development, project budgets, conceptual plans, preliminary planning, client interaction, project design and plan preparation. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership skills to be used in project organization and project delivery.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

·       Manage, Design, Develop, Create and maintain small through large scale projects

·       Provide advice and resolve creatively any design or construction problems that will impede critical path

·       Responsible for budgets, conceptual design, and project management throughout the design

·       Permitting of construction documents and reporting of construction pay applications

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • E.I.T. Preferred
