Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Website Developer and SEO Specialist to optimize and enhance our website. Currently built on Squarespace, we are considering transitioning to WordPress to add advanced features and improve functionality. The ideal candidate will help us create a wishlist feature for customers, integrate SEO strategies to boost visibility, and ensure a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the current Squarespace website and provide recommendations for transitioning to WordPress, if needed.
  • Implement a wishlist feature where customers can save items and allow us to confirm their orders directly.
  • Optimize website design, navigation, and overall performance.
  • Conduct keyword research and integrate SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings.
  • Ensure the website is mobile-friendly and fast-loading.
  • Set up analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console) to monitor performance.
  • Provide ongoing recommendations for improving the website’s visibility and functionality.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with website development on Squarespace and WordPress.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and tools (e.g., Yoast, SEMrush, or Ahrefs).
  • Experience with creating customer-focused features such as wishlists or e-commerce carts.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (preferred but not required).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with e-commerce functionality and platforms.
  • Basic graphic design knowledge for website visuals (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop).
  • Knowledge of email marketing integrations and customer outreach systems.

Compensation:
