
Physics Teacher
The Montoursville Area School District seeks a highly motivated and passionate Physics Teacher to join our dynamic and collaborative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging and effective physics instruction to students in 10-12.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans aligned with standards and curriculum guidelines.
- Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that fosters student curiosity and a love of physics.
- Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations, ensuring student safety and proper equipment usage.
- Utilize a variety of instructional methods, including lectures, discussions, group work, and technology integration.
- Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including quizzes, tests, projects, and observations.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their academic progress.
- Maintain accurate student records and grades.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Supervise extracurricular activities related to physics, such as science clubs or competitions (if applicable).
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physics or a closely related field required.
- Valid PA teaching certification in Physics preferred.
- Strong understanding of physics concepts and principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Experience with integrating technology into the classroom.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
