Mechanical & Fire Protection Engineer

Lizardos Engineering Associates, D.P.C., a MEP consulting engineering firm with offices in Mineola, NY and New York City, is seeking Engineers to join our team to work on health care, commercial, industrial, educational, pharmaceutical and municipal projects. We have a need for both entry level and experienced engineers and both are encouraged to apply.

Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineering candidates will possess the following:

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Fire Protection Engineering Preferred but not required.

·        0-5 years’ experience working in a consulting engineering firm or supervised work under licensed master plumber preferred but not required.

·        Design experience preferred but not required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs design calculations, sketches, technical comparisons and similar technical work as required by assignment.
• Drafts contract drawings from sketches and “mark-ups” generated by senior personnel.
• Assist in site surveys and field measurements.
• Prepares spreadsheets and inputs data into computerized engineering programs.
• Research design options and document findings for Engineers.
• Assist with other duties assigned by Engineers.
• Work in close contact with the entire design team
