Regional Applications Engineer

Maintecx Machine Tool LLC is a sales representative company based in Minneapolis, MN, servicing the mid-west region with top-of-the-line fabricating and manufacturing equipment.

Currently, we are seeking a regional applications engineer in order to better serve our customers in WI, MN, ND, SD, NE, IA.

This position is responsible for providing technical installation and applications support to current customers. The main goal of the Application Engineering role is to support the Installation and train / support customers in realizing the full potential of their equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Resolve technical and operational machine problems for customers

Understand and accurately convey machine capabilities to our customers

Provide technical support to customers experiencing issues that are limiting the equipment from reaching full potential

Effectively communicate “best machine operation practices” to different levels within a customer’s organization

Develop and maintain a positive rapport and business relationship with customers by providing outstanding customer service

Travel to customer facilities under the direction of your assigned service manager

Travel to customer sites to review customer’s current processes and help solve complex applications issues as required

Work closely with Maintecx Sales/Service Engineers within the territory as well as the TRUMPF Applications group to ensure we are prioritizing and addressing customer issues appropriately  

Periodic overnight travel will be required and must be willing to travel by air / auto for extended periods of time to receive training as new technology warrants

Submit service/application reports on time in a complete and organized manner according to the TRUMPF/Maintecx standard

All standard safety regulations and specific customer safety requirements need to be followed diligently

Perform required work with minimal supervision

Qualifications:

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Excellent communication skills, detail oriented and highly organized

Experience with drafting / modeling software, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and practices

TRUMPF product knowledge strongly preferred
