Assistant Project Manager

Key Qualifications:

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, especially those with an educational background or initial experience in project management, construction management, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of construction management concepts and eagerness to learn industry standards.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to assist in developing work plans and tracking project progress.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively participating in both virtual (e.g., Zoom) and on-site meetings.
  • Willingness to learn and manage project documentation including Submittals, Request for Information (RFIs), and Change Orders.
  • Interest in construction management with a focus on public & private sector projects is advantageous.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Utilize construction management software to track project progress and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction estimates and bids.
  • Review blueprints and schematics to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to facilitate project execution.
  • Monitor construction site activities to ensure adherence to safety standards and quality control.
  • Prepare regular status reports for stakeholders outlining project milestones and challenges.
  • Utilize tools like Bluebeam for document management and collaboration.
  • Support project scheduling efforts using software such as ProCore or Civil 3D.
  • Experience with software such as Bluebeam, ProCore, Civil 3D or AutoCAD will be considered an asset.
