Public Guardian
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to serve as a Public Guardian. The Public Guardian will be responsible for managing the affairs of individuals who are unable to do so due to age, disability, or incapacity. This role requires a commitment to protecting the rights and well-being of some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Oversee the personal and financial affairs of wards, ensuring their needs are met in accordance with court orders.
- Legal Compliance: Ensure all actions taken on behalf of wards comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Advocacy: Act as an advocate for the wards, ensuring they receive appropriate care, services, and benefits.
- Financial Management: Manage the financial assets of wards, including budgeting, bill payment, and asset protection.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports to the court regarding the status and well-being of wards.
- Collaboration: Work with social workers, healthcare providers, attorneys, and other professionals to coordinate services for wards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, law, or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in case management, social work, legal services, or a related field.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong ethical standards and a commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of wards.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial management and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with elderly or disabled populations.
- Knowledge of community resources and services available to vulnerable individuals.
