Job Description
Supervise the technical support personnel in the manufacture of test assemblies and the testing of new materials using analytical, thermomechanical, dynamometer and dimensional test equipment. In addition, the Supervisor of Testing has the responsibility for overseeing the calibration, maintenance and operation of lab equipment and the accuracy of the data produced. Primary focus on the numerous test dynamometers for Automotive and Heavy-Duty customer clutch testing and their required services. The Supervisor of testing is also highly involved in the specification, design approval, fabrication, installation and production release of all equipment used in the manufacture and dynamometer testing of new clutch materials and new product design.
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor of Science in the area of Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or extensive and sufficient training and courses in Industrial, electrical, and equipment engineering/programming/manufacturing plus a minimum of 4 years of experience in dynamometer operation, repair, calibration, and programming, plus a broad knowledge in the specialized field of friction material fabrication and testing, including inertia, fatigue, engine driven and vehicle testing as would be achieved after 3 years of responsibility in friction material testing.
