Field Engineer – Inspections Team
Engineered Tower Solutions, PLLC.
Are you someone who thrives on adventure, enjoys working with your hands, and loves the idea of seeing the world from a completely new perspective—literally 300 feet in the air?
At Engineered Tower Solutions, we’re looking for a Field Engineer to join our Nationally recognized inspections team. This isn’t your typical desk job—it’s a hands-on role that gets you out in the field, working on tower structures as a supportive two-person crew. If you’re ready to climb (both career-wise and physically)—we want to meet you!
What You’ll Do:
- Use engineering design documents to map and inspect tower structures.
- Work closely with your crew lead to climb safely and assess modifications.
- Document your findings in order to create basic closeout reports after inspections.
- Follow industry best safety practices—we provide top-tier training and gear to keep you secure.
What’s in it for You?
- Growth Potential: This role can transition into a project management, program management or Structural Engineer position for qualified candidates as opportunities open up.
- Travel & Experience: You’ll travel across the U.S., seeing new places, working on unique projects, and earning a daily per diem towards meals and incidentals in the field
- All Expenses Paid: Hotels, flights, and rental cars—covered by ETS as needed.
- Competitive Compensation: $68K–72K annual salary to start, 90-day review and a full benefits package including medical insurance for team members and their dependents, 401-K, and additional bonuses available. There is room to earn more if you bring industry experience.
What You Need to Bring:
✔ A Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree (or equivalent technical background).
✔ The ability to climb towers safely (training provided).
✔ A valid driver’s license (must be insurable under our company policy).
✔ A fearless attitude—you’ll be working at heights of 200 feet or more.
✔ A self-starter mindset—you can work independently while meeting project goals.
Other Requirements:
- Travel-heavy role: Expect to be on the road about 85% of the time (Monday-Friday).
- Ability to perform physical labor (climbing, digging, measuring, lifting).
- Comfortable working outdoors in extreme conditions for extended periods.
- Drug-free workplace: Pre-employment screening, post-accident testing, and random checks required.
- Background check mandatory for successful candidates. (No felony convictions)
Bonus Points for:
- FE exam passed.
- Prior climbing experience or working at heights.
- Knowledge of safety climbing practices (but don’t worry, we’ll train you!).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document work thoroughly.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CAD.
