Registered Nurse
JOB SUMMARY
Provides professional nursing care to patients according to established procedures; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
JOB DUTIES (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
- Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental and infection prevention standards, HIPPA standards, and support the hospital strategic plan.
- Documents initial nursing histories, patient’s assessment, develops individual care plans for patients, patient education, and discharge planning.
- Carries out provider orders which include medication administration within the Scope of Practice of RN.
- Monitors medical condition of the patient and reports changes to the appropriate personnel, evaluates outcomes of patient care, and adjusts nursing care processes as necessary to ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitors, maintains, and ensures accuracy of recording patient care documentation. Maintains all required reports.
- Completes appropriate paperwork in the admission, dismissal, or transfer of patients, in a timely manner.
- Maintains a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families, observes the emotional stability of patients, and maintains privacy.
- Collaborates with the other multidisciplinary teams.
- Assists physicians with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.
- Arranges for patients ordered diagnostic and therapeutic services with ward clerk and/or outpatient scheduler.
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-services, workshops. attends staff meetings as required.
- Demonstrates competency and professionalism in performing the overall patient care and supervisory responsibilities of the Registered Nurse position.
-Night shift differential pay: $5 per hour
-Weekend shift differential pay: $2.50 per hour
- Other qualifications/ certificate/ license:
ACLS certification – required within 3 months of employment
PALS/ENPC certification – required within 3 months of employment
NRP certification – required within 3 months of employment
TNCC certification – required within 3 months of employment
FHM -required within 3 months of employment
