
Production Supervisor - 1st shift
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the assigned department, ensuring the efficient and effective manufacturing of products. The supervisor will manage production staff, maintain safety and quality standards, monitor production output, and ensure that production targets and deadlines are met. The role involves troubleshooting production issues, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and coordinating between departments to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Team Supervision & Leadership:
- Supervise, motivate, and develop production staff to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
- Manage shift scheduling and allocate labor to meet production demands.
- Lead daily production meetings and ensure communication between production teams.

Production Planning & Execution:
- Oversee and direct daily production activities, ensuring adherence to schedules, plans, and product specifications.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Ensure proper handling of materials and minimize downtime.

Quality Control & Compliance:
- Ensure production processes comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify product quality.
- Address any quality control issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

Process Improvement & Efficiency:
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production problems to minimize delays and waste.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.

Health & Safety:
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing safety policies and guidelines.
- Ensure all safety equipment and machinery are in good working condition.
- Lead efforts in ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.

Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain accurate production reports, including output, downtime, and resource utilization.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for management.
- Maintain records of employee attendance, performance, and training.

Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., maintenance, quality assurance, inventory control) to coordinate production schedules and resolve issues.
- Provide leadership and guidance to foster teamwork and cooperation across departments.
