Position Description:    Secondary Math teaching position in grades 8-12. 

Qualifications:              •  Certified #1400 (Math) by the State of Wisconsin

Valders Area School District is seeking an innovative and energetic Math Teacher starting the 2025-2026 school year.  This is a full-time position (1.0 FTE).  The ideal candidate will help foster a love of learning in students.  Additionally, the candidate will facilitate parental involvement, build strong relationships with students, and collaborate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

Experience in differentiated, curriculum, instruction, and assessment that meets the needs of all learners

Ability to understand and be able to design, develop, assess, and manage mathematical learning experiences

Ability to create effective and engaging lessons to teach core math content and build skills

Ability to work collaboratively with the math team to advise, plan, and implement effective interventions

Seeks to build positive, professional, and meaningful relationships that communicate the importance of academic and social success

Student focused with an ability to maintain a safe and respectful classroom learning environment, is responsive to students’ needs, and allows them to observe, question, and investigate

Ability to use a multitude of instructional strategies that are academically rigorous and highly engaging while having a belief that all students can learn and succeed

Has an exceptional ability to respond to feedback and implement change immediately

Professionally involved in collaborative teams to engage and energize students

Ability to communicate well with students, families, staff, and the community

Interested in fully integrating into the school community by advising, coaching, and supporting school wide initiatives

High standards for professional growth and is organized, flexible, and creative
