Assistant Project Manager

About this role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful execution of construction projects. The APM will assist the Project Manager in overseeing project schedules, contracts, submittals, and closeout documentation to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and track all project submittals, RFIs, change orders, and related documentation to ensure timely approvals and compliance with project requirements.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, ensuring coordination among subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Support contract management by reviewing and monitoring agreements, purchase orders, and subcontractor scopes to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate smooth communication and project execution.
- Assist in monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, and preparing financial reports as needed.
- Ensure adherence to company safety policies and quality control measures throughout all phases of construction.
- Interpret construction drawings, review specifications, and ensure project execution aligns.
- Analyze TWLA reports to verify compliance with project requirements and safety standards.
- Prepare, track, and manage RFIs to facilitate timely resolution of project-related inquiries and issues.
- Manage project closeout activities, including punch lists, as-built documentation, warranty coordination, and final reporting.
- Maintain professional communication with vendors, and team members to provide updates and address project-related concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in commercial construction or project management support.
- Understanding construction processes, contracts, and scheduling.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Procore or Bluebeam. Preferred
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
