Junior Accountant

Wanted: Fun and Friendly Junior Accountant to join our HomElectrical team! 

We are looking for someone with experience and knowledge in coordinating, organizing, troubleshooting, and managing an office with a heavy accounting focus. He or she must be able to perform all the defined procedures below under the general supervision of the Controller.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Email; PC Operating Systems; Accounting (Quickbooks), Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Possess the ability to learn additional internal programs.

 

JOB DUTIES:

• Client invoicing

• Accounts Receivable

• Accounts Payable

• Credit card account management

• Reports creation and management

• Utilities setup and payments

• Coordinate and assist end of month closing

• Able to provide high-level administration and accounting support.

• Provide weekly progress reports to senior staff.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

• Reconcile various general ledger accounts.

• Perform all accounting functions related to retail accounting.

 

REQUIRED:

• Associates Degree in Accounting or at least 18 hours of accounting classes

• Strong skills in basic math

• Experience is preferred

• Excellent communication skills

• Must have basic computer skills and be able to navigate things like Google effortlessly

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

• Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving skills

• Strong skills in organization and time-management

• Experience with QuickBooks Online

• Experience with basic Excel
