High School Math Intervention Teacher
Venture Academy is seeking a full-time Math Intervention teacher. We are looking for a teacher who can start this upcoming school year.

Venture Academy is a small 6th-12th grade charter school in Southeast Minneapolis. At Venture Academy, we provide a future-focused education to enrich our students. Our student-centered approach meets students where they are at. We are driven by our mission: students overcome whatever barriers they may face to become successful and happy adults in their chosen path.
Qualifications desired (but not limited to):
- Minnesota teaching license (traditional or alternative pathways both welcome)
- Demonstrated success working with students (preferably low-income and students of color)
- Knowledge and understanding of Minnesota K-12 Academic Standards
- Knowledge and experience with formative and summative assessment
- Knowledge and experience of data-driven instruction
- Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with peers
- Willingness to receive coaching and instructional feedback
- Experience working with students with disabilities
- Experience working with Multi-Language Learners
- Knowledge of the IEP process
Responsibilities included (but not limited to):
- Provide basic skills support and standards-based instruction to students
- Implement best practice curriculum through Google Classroom
- Collaborate with Special Education and EL teachers to ensure the curriculum is appropriately accommodated and modified
- Mentor teacher to a small group of students
- Grade and track progress
- Proactively communicate with parents and families regarding student progress
- Participate in professional learning community (PLC)
- Attend school-sponsored events
