New Graduate Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Transition position provides guided orientation to help integrate and apply medical knowledge and sharpen technical skills for newly graduated Registered Nurses. Accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Diagnostic Imaging teams at Samaritan Health Services use state-of-the-art imaging technology while providing health care teams with the information needed for a fast, accurate diagnosis. Imaging services include: X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Bone Density, CT Scan, Digital Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET-CT, Ultrasound services, Cardiac Cath and Interventional Radiology.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required.
Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
GSR Cardiac Cath Lab:
Graduate of an accredited nursing school program required (must be within the previous twelve (12) months of the SHS New Graduate RN Program start date).
ACLS required within three (3) months of hire.

Time Management: Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow-up on pending issues. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in dynamic fast-paced environments and under pressure.
Communication: Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss issues.
