Field Engineer / Architect

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive property inspections, with a focus on evaluating structural integrity and identifying potential electrical maintenance concerns.
  • Prepare Structural Integrity Reserve Studies (SIRS) to assess the condition of structural components, forecast future maintenance needs, and develop actionable maintenance plans.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with Florida’s milestone inspection regulations and other relevant building codes and standards.
  • Maintain consistent and accurate inspection protocols and standards to ensure high-quality results.
  • Coordinate inspection schedules with property owners, tenants, and internal teams, ensuring timely and efficient execution of inspections.
  • Document inspection findings, provide detailed maintenance recommendations, and report compliance status with precision and clarity.
  • Track progress on maintenance initiatives, ensuring that corrective actions are completed on time and within budget.
  • Effectively communicate inspection outcomes and maintenance plans to stakeholders, offering clear, actionable recommendations to preserve property value and structural integrity.
  • Stay up to date with industry standards, regulatory changes, and best practices to enhance property inspection processes and structural maintenance practices.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing or holding a degree (Bachelor’s or Associate’s) in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, evaluate, and address structural or electrical issues and develop practical maintenance solutions.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy in documentation and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in utilizing various techniques to ensure efficient task completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineer-in-Training (E.I.) certification, or actively pursuing the Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
